The Solmetric SunEye™ (patent pending) is a hand held electronic device that allows users to assess total potential solar energy given the shading of a particular site. Identifying the shading pattern early in the process reduces the expense of system and home design and improves the efficiency of the final system or house. This model with integrated GPS enables the automatic detection of session and skyline location.
Minimum System Requirements
Windows 7, Windows Vista (all editions), Windows XP SP2 (Professional, Home, or Media Center), or Windows 2000 SP4
700 MHz
256 MB RAM
100 MB hard drive space
Systems that do not meet these requirements may not operate correctly.
Currently, the SunEye software does not run natively on Mac OS. It is possible, however, to run the SunEye software on a Mac using a Windows emulator, such as Parallels Desktop for MAC, or VMWare.
The SunEye 210 builds on the capabilities of the original SunEye 110 with an integrated electronic compass and level into a more compact instrument that makes site assessment even faster and easier.
The SunEye comes standard with the following items: a hard carrying case, an AC battery charger, a USB computer interconnect cable, a stylus, and a DVD containing the desktop PC software. All 210 units have worldwide operation and a 2 year limited warranty. User interface available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Integrated GPS is optional, enabling the automatic detection of session and skyline location.
